Obituary:

Martha Ann (Case) Brown, of Rolla, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at (Helia) Benchmark after wonderful attention and care during her battle with cancer.

Martha Ann was born in Lecoma, Missouri on July 18, 1918, to Minnie (Melton) Case and Alexander Case. On January 16, 1935, Martha married Robert Lora Brown at the Phelps County Court House in Rolla, MO, and they were married for 54 years before his death on December 26, 1989. Martha and Lora were blessed with four children.

Martha was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and moved to Rolla and joined First Baptist Church of Rolla where she was a member for more than 50 years and loved her church and her church family.

One of her greatest enjoyments was the 16 years she spent as a Senior Companion with Choices for People. Martha was an avid gardener and loved to fix big dinners for her family for holidays or anytime. She loved to travel visiting every state except for one, she traveled to Canada, and thoroughly enjoyed going on seven cruises with her family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lora Brown; three brothers, Joseph Case, Ralph Case and Sylvester Case; and three sisters Grace Owens, Beulah Greve and Bertie Mae Case and one son-in-law, Curtis Logan Jr.

She will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: her children; Paul Brown and wife Helga of Orlando, FL; David Brown and wife Freda of Independence, MO; Carolyn Faye Gaddy and husband Jerry of Liberty, MO; and Jewel Logan and Bill Smith of Plano, TX. Martha had five grandchildren: Catherine Kasch, Deborah LeVere and husband Tom, Clay Brown, David Brown and Brian Gaddy and wife Sarah. She also had six great grandchildren: Megan Kasch Turnquist and husband Christopher, Max Kasch, Miles Kasch, Alicia LeVere, Abigail LeVere and Christopher Gaddy. Martha is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service for Martha Ann Brown will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Rolla. Rev. Bob Johnston will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27 at the Null and Son Funeral Home.

In honor of Martha, memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Van Service or the First Baptist Church Youth Group.
