Mrs. Maggie Irene Martin, 81, of Memphis, died in Hall County Hospital at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5. 1985.
She was the mother of Wayne Martin. Mrs. Martin was born April 18, 1903 in Idalou, La., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Saladon Wills. She came to Hall County with her parents in 1905, and on Oct. 3, 1920, she was married to Johnnie H. Martin in Memphis. She was a member of Travis Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Johnny Martin; three daughters Mrs. Opal Waites of Memphis, Mrs. Gwen Hill of Clarendon and Mrs. Billie Wood of Childress; two sons: Leroy Martin of Stinnett and Wayne Martin of Wellington; a sister, Mrs. Opal Richards of Austin; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
