Funeral services for Omar Samuel Ford, 66, a retired barber, who died Sunday, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cookes Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richwoods Cemetery. He was born on July 8, 1877 in Trenton to Evan and Louisa (Umbanhowar) Ford. Surviving are his wife, Jessie (Carver) Ford; his daughter, Betty Jane Ford; his children from a former marriage, Glenn Ford in the military, Marjorie Tucker of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Bradley of Phoenix, Arizona, Thelma Lerten of Tennessee, and Waunita Halferty of Portage, Wisconsin; his sister, Mrs. Cliff Lee of Mount Pleasant; and his brother, Ira Ford of Mount Pleasant.
