She was born March 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Bill and Verda Hyde.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lawson Hyde, and an infant granddaughter.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wayne Abell; sons, Dennis (Patti) Abell of Jonesboro, David (Mary) Abell of Nairobi, Kenya, and Jeff (Kori) Abell of Merritt Island, Fla.; daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Mahurin Mutz, of Bella Vista; grandchildren, Emily, Holly, Meagan and Manny Abell, Eric (Keesha) Mahurin and Kimberly (Chris) Beauchamp, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Melba (Dave) McNally of Kirkland, Wash., and Linda (Joe) Wood of Graceville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
A public Rosary was held at the Heath Funeral Home.
Her life was celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Cleary officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus.
