Louis Wayne McDonald, age 83 of Heath, TX, passed away December 12, 2009. He was born October 12, 1926, in Heath, TX, to James Virgil & Ruth May (Wilson) McDonald. Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed with U.S. Steel for over 20 years, and was also a farmer and cattle rancher. Louis was a member of the Church of Christ in Heath.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Linda (Klutts) McDonald of Heath, TX; son: Paul McDonald & wife Lynn of Rockwall, TX; daughters: Wanda White of Rockwall, TX, and Brenda Valentine & husband Richard of Gainesville, TX; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and sister: Leta Virginia Tidwell of Arlington, TX. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Glenda Faye McDonald; brother: James Virgil McDonald, Jr.; and sisters: Idelle Brooks Maynard and Betty Stover;
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Jim Barksdale officiating. Interment will follow in Heath Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
