Dessie Mae Guillet Broussard was born February 7, 1934. She was one of eleven children born to Iler and Wilford Guillet.
She was married to Joe Johnson and had a son, Derrick Allen.
She raised her son on her own, and later married Albert J. Broussard and resided in Jennings, Louisiana where she and Albert had two children, Robin James, and Kim Marie. Shortly after Kim was born the family moved to Sulphur, Louisiana where they resided.
Dessie was a in direct sales with Sarah Coventry for over fifteen years where she became Branch Manager. She also taught Catholic curriculm at Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church and was a lay minister and was in the Legion of Mary and for many years and was the Director of the May Crownings for over ten years.
She loved working in her yard, tending to her roses and many plants. Her grandchildren, Shane, Jenny, Christopher, and Marcy gave her much joy.
She loved to cook cajun dishes and her favorite color was pink. She was a kind and much loved woman, and was a devoted wife and mother.
