WEBB "Alphus" Eugene Gene Webb, age 77, of Holland, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Gene was born in Manifest, Louisiana, on October 12, 1932, to William and Vicie (Pollard) Webb. He was married to Shirley Webb for 40 years until her death in 1995. A Marine Corps Veteran, Gene worked as a millwright for AP Parts. In addition to being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he was an avid golfer and hunter and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his sons, Carl (Susan) Webb of Robert, Louisiana, Roy (Eileen) Webb of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Carol Webb of Tennessee; brothers, James Ellis Webb of Toledo, William Carl Webb of Grant, Louisiana; sister, Geraline Vallotton; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2-9 pm Saturday where funeral services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, January 17, 2010, with Pastor Carl Webb officiating.
