At the home of her parents, on Monday evening, Jan 3, 1921, Ruth A. (Noyes) was united in marriage to Mr. Hugh L. Drown. The couple left on the evening train for their new home in New London, Wis. (January 8, 1921 The Norway Current newspaper, Norway, Dickinson, Michigan.)

MRS. W. W. NOYES
Funeral Was Held Last Saturday

The funeral of Mrs. W. W. Noyes, whose death was chronicled last week, was held on Saturday from the home on Iron Street. Mrs. Noyes, who had been staying at the home of a daughter-in-law, dropped dead while returning home in the company of a lady school teacher, on the afternoon of Friday, April 24. The body was accompanied to Norway by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. W. W. Noyes Jr., who was bereft of her husband but 20 days before and he was buried in Seattle.
Due to the steamer schedule, the body of Mrs. Noyes, Sr., was kept at Ketchikan, until April 29, that being the time of the departure of the first boat and the long journey's end was reached by Friday last.

MRS. W.W. NOYES DIES IN ALASKA

Mrs. W.W. Noyes one of the earliest pioneer women on the Menominee range, suddenly and unexpectedly died on Friday, April 24. About 18 months ago she had closed her home in this city and departed for Alaska and the home of her son, Will Jr., who was engaged in the freighting business. Her son, who was in poor health, went to Seattle for treatment and died April 4. It is believed that his demise was the cause of her fatal heart attack.
