Services for Dorothy Scott Powell, age 86, of Epps, LA will be 2PM Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Epps Baptist Church, Epps, LA with Rev. Jay Morgan & Rev. Johnny Smith officiating, with interment to follow in Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville, LA.
She is preceded in death by two grandchildren-Scott Powell and Carmen Trawick.
Mrs. Powell, a homemaker and retired US Postal Services employee, was born January 9, 1923 in Ringgold, LA. She passed away December 10, 2009 at her home in Epps, LA. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Inmon Powell, of Epps, LA, a daughter-Nina Trawick and husband Melvin of Vinton, LA, two sons-Ronnie Inmon Powell and wife Sandra of Epps, LA and Tommy S. Powell and wife Bertha of Epps, LA, two brothers-James Scott of Lake Providence, LA and Orvis Scott and wife Elsie of Monticello, LA., nine grandchildren-Stacey Doyle and husband Jason, Bridgett Fuller and husband Robert, Cathy Leviton and husband Lauren, Ryan Powell and wife Stephanie, Dr. Eric Trawick and wife Sara, Trent Powell and wife Beth, and Neil Trawick, ten great grandchildren- Deisree Fuller, Tristin Powell, Chassidy Fuller, Samaria Powell, Eli Doyle, Mason Powell, Abel Doyle, Noah Trawick, Wyatt Leviton, and Ava Trawick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
