Died.

Walter Dyer, a young son of T. Dyer, died of diphtheria on Friday night at St. Joseph's college, a Catholic institution in Indiana. Mr. Dyer stated yesterday that the body would be brought to Cheyenne for burial. He thought it would arrive at noon on Monday, and the funeral would take place in the afternoon of that day. The death of the child— who was in his tenth year was quite sudden and not expected by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dyer have the profound sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Walter Dyer, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Dyer, aged about seven years, died suddenly Friday night at the Notre Dame school, in Indiana. Mrs. Dyer was with him at the time of his death, and in response to a telegraphic dispatch Mr. Dyer left yesterday for the scene of the sad event. The little fellow was seized with an attack of diphtheria, and despite the utmost efforts to save his life, died within a few hours. The body will be brought to this city for burial.

The Funeral of Walter Dyer

Mr. and Mrs. T. Dyer will arrive here to-day on No. 3 with the body of Walter Dyer. Immediately after the arrival of the train, the funeral cortege will proceed to the Catholic church, where the services will be held, conducted by Rev. Father Nugent. Walter Dyer was ten years of age at the time of his death and was an unusually bright little fellow, and his death has been a severe blow to his parents. Friends of the family are invited to be present at the church. The services will probably begin at one o'clock.
