Lennie Mae Brown, 98, lifelong resident of Harmon County, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hollis First United Methodist Church with Dr Clem Dozer officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Patterson Greer Funeral Home.

Brown was born June 4, 1902, to Samuel Houston and Annie Simpson Barton in Mangum, Texas. She married Ben A. Brown on Nov. 26, 1926, in Mangum. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an active member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: two sons, Ben H. Brown of Raleigh, N.C. and Edwin Earl Brown of Los Angeles; one daughter, Marie Medrich of DeBerry, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
