Dr. Pat Brecheen, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairmont Cemetery at Hollis, Okla., with his brother, Carl Brecheen, minister of the Church of Christ of Abilene, officiating. Arrangements are by White Funeral Home of Lubbock.

Dr. Brecheen was born in Hollis, Okla. He graduated from Hollis High School, Abilene Christian College and Baylor Dental School. He operated his own dental office in Snyder. With a partner, he moved his practice to Tahoka in 1965. In 1969, he moved to Lubbock and opened his practice there in 1970. He retired in 1999.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Dr. Brecheen married Betty Bergeron Smith in 1972. She died in 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Cole Brecheen of Portland, Ore., and John Brecheen of Abilene; three stepsons, Billy Smith of Plano, Barry Smith of Hurst and Bobby Smith of Houston; one daughter, Jodie McClintock of Plainview; one stepdaughter, Brenda Pierce of Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, Carl Brecheen of Abilene; one sister, June Cope of Hollis, Okla.; four grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.
