A self-employed hairdresser and a resident of Centreville, Miss., she died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. She was 48, born March 26, 1961, in Baton Rouge. Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, on Monday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Centreville. Survived by her mother, Adell Cokes Font, of Woodville, Texas; two sons, Conan Ruben Courtney, of Wilson, and Josh Courtney, of Zachary; a sister, Donna Krechel, of Silsbee, Texas; grandson, George Evans Courtney, of Zachary; and a very dear friend, Dale Courtney, of Centreville. Preceded in death by her father, George Edward Font; and brother, George Edward Font II.
