"PATRICK BARTHES DIES"
"Patrick James Barthes, 42, 631 Hopkins Boulevard, lifelong resident of Biloxi, died at 6:50 a.m. today, following an illness of several days. He was taken to the Biloxi Hospital where he underwent an operation and complications set in. For a number of years he operated his own blacksmith shop and later was employed with Collins Brothers. For the past three years he has been connected with the Mississippi Ice and Utilities Co. He was known to many in Biloxi and had a large number of friends. He leaves his wife, five daughters, Nona, Lucille, Julia, Cleo and Mary Rita; his father, Gus Barthes; a brother, Francis, and a sister, Mrs. M. J. Nichovich. The funeral will be held tomorrow from the home of his brother, 502 Seal avenue. The funeral will be at 3:30 tomorrow with services from the home of his brother and at the Church of the Nativity by Father Keenan."
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 21, pg 198: Patrick was 42 years, 1 month old when he died at Biloxi Hospital. He was a blacksmith in the employ of Collins Bros. His second wife was Lucille Henrietta Isley whom he married October 29, 1922.
