William T. Trainor, 57, 801 Manlove Street, died at 4:25 a.m. today, Friday, July 22, 1994 at St. James Hospital. He had been ill one year.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church, Pontiac. The Rev. E. Edward Higgins officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Pontiac, where military rites will be accorded.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Duffy Funeral home, Pontiac, where the rosary will be said at 5 p.m. and a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
Mr. Trainor was born December 23, 1936 at Streator, a son of Sidney J. and Mabel (Corrigan) Trainor. He married Joy Masters April 23, 1963 at Veedersburg, Indiana. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, six brothers, Joseph, Larry, Frank, Emmett and Philip, and Richard, and one sister
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Trainor attended Esmen grade school and graduated from Cornell high school. He was an ironworker for Star Erectors, Pontiac, for 21 years and before that for Professional Sales, Pontiac. He was a member of Union Local #465 at Kankakee.
He served with the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 and was stationed in Germany.
He was a Catholic.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. James hospital hospice program or to a charity of the donor's choice.
