SERVICES HELD AT SECOND WARD FOR MRS. DON LEWIS

Funeral services for Genevra Ellen Willes Lewis, 42, who died Sunday at Duchesne after an illness of two weeks were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Second Ward Chapel.

The opening number was a duet by Mrs. Leo Calder and Mrs. John Jorgenson, "In The Garden". Bishop Wallace Slaugh of Davis offered the invocation. Mrs. Wallace Calder and Mrs. Jorgenson sang "Whispering Hope". H Walter Woolley was the speaker. Bishop Owen Slaugh gave remarks of appreciation and the closing number was "That Wonderful Mother of Mine". E. J. Longhurst offered the benediction.

Pallbearers were members of the American Legion, John Stagg, G. A. Lambert, George R. Goodrich, J. S. Milburn, Henry Workman and Blaine Lee. The American Legion Auxilliary formed an honorary escort. Interment was at the Vernal Memorial Park with H. Walter Woolley dedicating the grave.

Mrs. Lewis was born at Vernal, December 22, 1901, a daughter of Jessie S. and Florence S. Willes. She married James Don Lewis January 29, 1921 and spent her entire life here until six years ago then the family moved to Duchesne.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Val, of Duchesne; Pfc Sheldon Lewis, serving with the armed forces in Georgia; Donna Leta and Billy, all of Duchesne; her mother and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Ray Searle, Mrs. G. Southam, Mrs. Lewis Murray and Francis Willes, all of Vernal and Sim Willes of Gypsum, Colorado.
