The Kiblah, Arkansas native had lived in Bossier City 30 years and was a retired service station operator and a Baptist.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Bossier City Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. I. C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.
Mr. Broomes survivors include James Broome of Haughton and Patrick Broome of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jo Bradshaw of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. May Gay of Oil City and Mrs. Jewel Fatzea of Clarence; two brothers, O. D. Broome and Carl J. Broome both of Oil City; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
