Frances was born to Patrick and Fanny Henry and moved with her family to Seattle as a young girl. She attended Broadway High School and a local business college. She clerked for the federal government and was office manager at Seattle Hardware. She met her one true love, a sailor from Minnesota, at a USO dance and they planned to marry in April of 1944. He was shipped out before their wedding day, so they married exactly two years later when he returned from his service in the Pacific. Frances was accomplished in all homemaking skills and also a talented artist. She was a constant friend, a flawless memory-keeper and an amateur matchmaker. She was also preceded in death by her only brother, James, and was survived by his wife, Ina Henry, and their children and grandchildren.
