Funeral services for G. R. (Red) Hargrave, 46, of 1000 Hereford Drive, were held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Round Island Baptist church, with the Rev. Martin Ray and the Rev. Ray Greene officiating. Burial was in Roselawn cemetery, McConnell funeral home in charge.
Mr. Hargrave, an employe of Redstone Arsenal, died in Block- Chandler clinic, Hartselle, at 7:35 p.m. yesterday after a short illness.
A veteran of World War II, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine B. Hargrave; a daughter, Patty Sue; one son, Billy Richard; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hargrave, Athens; one brother, Willard Hargrave, Athens; four sisters, Mrs. Leoma Steven.son, Route 1, Athens; Mrs. Adell Brock, Route 7; Athens; Mrs. Nina Lee Keeton, Route 1, Harve.st, and Mrs. Ethel Poteete, Warren, Mich.
