Published in the Florence Morning News (Florence, South Carolina), December 23, 1939 - Olanta Youth is Victim of Burns - Special to the Morning News: OLANTA, Dec 22 - Ezra Leverne Tedder, 15-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Tedder, died at an early hour today in a Florence hospital where he had been carried on account of serious burns which he received lat Sunday when he came in contact with a high tension power line. At the time of the accident young Tedder's burns while very painful, were not thought to be fatal. His condition became critical early Thursday morning from which he never recovered. He was the oldest child of the family and a member of the ninth grade in the Olanta high school. Surviving are his parents, two sisters, Gladys Gertrude and Hazel Lee, two brothes, Charles William and Luther, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at Bethany Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock with interment in the church cemetery.
