She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Alexander Brown and Cora Van Leuven Brown; husband, Daniel E. Thacke; sisters, Pearl Stout and Dorothy Lorraine Smith; and brothers, Donald, Gene and Sid Brown.

Mildred is survived by her brother, Lewis Brown of St. George, Utah; daughter, Lorna M. Hall; and son, Daniel E. Thacke, Jr., both of Las Vegas. She was born in Los Angeles, Jan. 12, 1924, but moved to the Arizona Strip with her parents when she was a child. She attended grade school in Bundyville, Ariz., and high school in Hurricane, Utah.

After high school, Mildred moved to Las Vegas to work at the El Rancho Motor Hotel as a seamstress, later becoming a PBX operator for Southwest Gas Corporation and the City of North Las Vegas. Mildred finished her working career as a highly successful real estate agent.

Mildred met and married Daniel E. Thacke, of Las Vegas, in 1942. The family will miss her contagious optimism and words of encouragement.
