Mrs. Doris F. Smith of Underwood, Indiana, died on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 7:40 AM at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 29 days.
She was born on July 15, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Claude S. and Iva Frances (Collins) Campbell.
Doris was married to Louis T. Smith, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2003. She was a homemaker, attended the Underwood Baptist Church and was a member and former treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the old Underwood Fire Department.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; Gary L. and Debbie Smith of Underwood, Indiana; three brothers, Floyd and Sam Campbell both of Underwood, Indiana and Steve Campbell of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters, Hazel Bowen of Austin, Indiana, Ruth Brown of Tell City, Indiana and Carol Campbell of Indianapolis, Indiana and a grandson, Bart L. Smith of Underwood, Indiana.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, John Paul & Willard Campbell and one sister, Bertha Campbell.
