Age 53 years,Whitley City Ky died December 17 2002 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.Funeral services were held,Friday December 20 2002 at McCreary County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Coffey and Rev. Tom Abbott officiating.Burial was in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
He was born November 20 1949 at Stearns, Kentucky.The son of Clyde Estel and Dora Dobbs Coffey.He had retired as school janitor at Whitley City Middle School.
He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church.
Preceding his in death was his father Clyde Coffey and sister Alene Coffey.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Bowden Coffey of Whitley City Ky,his mother Dora Coffey of Stearns Ky,son Johnathan Harold Coffey of Stearns Ky,and daughter Jennifer Coffey of Stearns Ky,Laura Ross and husband Jeff of Whitley City Ky,Amanda Vaughn and husband Earnie of Parkers Lake Ky,brother Norman Coffey of Stearns Ky and sisters Helen Louisa Panko and Opal Steward both of Stearns Ky and Katherine Cossman of Cincinnati Ohio.Two grandchildren survive.He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
