Paul M wright, son of Garrison and Mattie Wright, was born in Crawford county, near Riddle, February 11, 1905, and died February 23, 1937, aged 32 years and 12 days.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in October, 1928 and was discharged in 1929 on account of bad health.
He married Beatrice Meade on May 22, 1931. To this union was born three children, Beatrice Louise, deceased. a son, Melvin, and a daughter, Alice, surviving together with their mother. His mother and brother, Ralph have preceded him in death, while surviving are also his father, Garrison M Wright, and one brother, Sam Wright, of Sulphur, and five sisters, Mary McCarty, of Princeton; Lena Merry, of English: Aurora Crecelius, of Marengo; Julia Jones, of Evansville, and Josephine Stephens, of Washington, D.C.
This death brings deep sadness to his home, his relatives and his neighbors. He had a place to fill where he was so much needed and will be greatly missed. His neighbors will remember him for his kind and friendly disposition, and his transactions with them was found to be reliable and honest.
Funeral services were held at Riddle, Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Laurence Elshoff, pastor of the English Christian church.
