Grantsburg-Julia C Roberson, daughter of John S and Mary P. Wright, was born near Riddle on April 21, 1867, and died January 19, at the age of 89 at the home of a daughter, Mrs John(Lillie) Enlow, where she had lived for several years.
She married William H. Ballard on October 5, 1885. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1931. To this union were born, three sons and three daughters: John, who died January 6. 1950; Jerry, of Riddle; an infant son, who died April 8, 1893; Lillie Enlow, of Grantsburg; Mett Highfill, of Beechwood, and Bertha Cole, who died January 12, 1932.
She united with the Christian Church in Riddle in early womanhood and lived firmly in that faith.
On January 7, 1939, she married Timothy H. Roberson, who preceded her in death in June, 1952.
Besides the children mentioned, survivors are her stepchildren, Omer Roberson, of Louisville; Agnes Velcein, of Orleans; Mrs Ida McClure, of Leavenworth; seven grandchildren, 14 great-greatchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Final rites were held at the Riddle Church, Monday afternoon, with the Rev. L.S. Wilkes officiating. Interment was in the Riddle cemetery.
