Mr. David Lea Allen, 56, of 104 Whitbeck Drive in Mayodan passed away on Tuesday at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at New Vision Fellowship.
Mr. Allen was born in Leaksville (now Eden) on May 6, 1953, a son of William J. and Regina Coleman Allen. He was retired from Distribution Construction Co. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his son, Alex Allen and wife Shana of Mayodan; his parents, Bill and Jan Allen of Mayodan; his sister, Myra Barrett of Mayodan; and his brothers, Dean Allen and wife Susan of Stoneville, Darrel Allen of Mayodan and Danny Allen and wife Janet of Madison.
