Funeral services for Samuel Hugh Brown, 83, long-time Hall County resident, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. C. H. Murphy, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.
A retired farmer, Mr. Brown passed away Sunday. He was born in Stephens Co., Okla.
He was united in marriage to Ida Medra Biffle in 1912 in Wellington and the couple moved to Hall County in 1927.
Mrs. Brown preceded her husband in death in 1963.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hill Wells and Mrs. Buster Morrison, both of Memphis; a half-sister, Mrs. Grace Roan of Commerce; seven grand-children, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
