F. Paul Cawley

F. Paul Cawley, 83, of Parkersburg, died April 20, 2007, at the Arbors at Marietta.

He was born March 21, 1924, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Charles B. and Martha M. Singer Cawley.

Paul was retired from Kroger Co., was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a graduate of Parkersburg High School.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie M. Wanstreet Cawley; daughter, Anne Marie Smith and husband, Anthony, of Vienna; three grandchildren, Katherine M. Smith, Laura-Elizabeth A. Smith and Brendan M. Smith, all of Vienna; and one sister, Mary E. O?Brien of Parkersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Charles J. Cawley; brother, William Cawley; and sisters, Alice Cawley Gorrell and Agnes Cawley Gorrell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with The Very Rev. William K. Matheny Jr., V.F., as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with a Rosary at 3 p.m. and Christian Wake at 8 p.m.
