Mr. Bobby Lee Adams, age 67, of Concord, GA, passed away July 9, 2007. He was born on March 3, 1940 in Baileysville, West virginia. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was President and CEO of the Meat Cutters Union and Vice President of the UFCW International Union. He spent his working career organizing and representing the working class people. Mr. Adams was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed driving his horses and rabbit hunting with his beagles. He never met a stranger and loved being with people. He is survived by his wife, Joyce L. Adams; children, LaDonna Adams-Yoakum and husband Luke, John Adams and wife Pam, Bobbi Michele Adams all of Douglasville, Teresa Piorkawski and husband Joe of Carrollton, Debbie Bishoff and husband Steve of West Virginia; step-children, Vicki Bailey of Locust Grove, Bob Steely of Concord, Jeannie Davis and husband Butch of Newnan; grandchildren, John Wyatt and Jacob Adams, Shawn, Robbie and Jessie Bishoff, Morgan and Colton Bailey, Tyler and Austin Davis, Macy and Olivia Steely, Bobby Scott Johnson (deceased) and Ashley Adams (deceased); three great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Arwin Adams and wife Bettie of Selma, AL, Ken Adams and wife Karen of West Virginia and Judy Michaels and husband Jim of West Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 12 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home in Zebulon, GA, with Rev. Scott Barber officiating. Interment will follow in Old Hebron Cemetery in Concord. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 770-567-8642.
