LYONS - Mable E. Battershell, 96, died June 26, 1983, at Lyons District Hospital after a short illness.
Born Mable Bardwell May 29, 1887, at Kingman, she married Horace Crill Oct. 27, 1906. He died April 25, 1911. She married Arthur Battershell Jan. 28, 1914. He preceded her in death. She had been a longtime Lyons resident.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Home Demonstration Unit, VFW Auxiliary, all of Lyons.
Survivors: sons, John Arthur Crill, Sterling; Earl Battershell, Lyons; daughter, Marie Ella Bean, Magalia, Calif.; brother, Seth Bardwell, Hutchinson; sister, Lucy Lindsey, Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sillin-Crawford-Miller Funeral Home, Lyons; the Rev. Clayton Hildebrand. Burial at Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
