Althea E. Coston, 77, a 50 year resident
of Morton, died Aug. 12, 1989 at Morton
General Hospital.

She was born May 3, 1912 in Doty, Wash.,
and moved to the Raymond area in 1918.
She and her family moved to Morton in
1928.

She attended Morton High School in the
class of 1930. She was a postal clerk out of
high school, a telephone operator for several
years, and a clerk for the Thrifty Drug Store
for 10 years.

She was a member of the Morton United
Methodist Chruch, the Eastern Star Lodge
#164 and the Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Lori
Coston of Federal Way, Bill and Sherry
Coston of Auburn, and Jim and Kathi Coston
of Olympia; a daughter-in-law and husband,
Jeanette and Clarence Nelson, Jr. of Federal
Way; one brother, Glenn Ellis of Seattle; a
great-grandson, Brad Shay of Olympia;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband,
Dick Coston, in 1983 and a son James in
1961.

Memorials may be made to the United
Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
Interment will be made in the Morton
Cemetery
