A C "Mutt" Adney was born January 8, 1925 in Featherston, OK, the son of Andrew Jackson and Alice Elizabeth (Linker) Adney and died January 13, 2010 in Muskogee. On April 20, 1946 he married Jewel Casey in Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver. He is preceded in death by Andrew Jackson Adney, father, Alice Elizabeth Adney, mother; brother, Coleman Adney, brother, Calvin Adney, daughter-in-law, Paula Jean Adney and great-grandson, Elli Ryan Shiplet. Survivors include his wife, Jewel Adney of the home; six children, Sonny and wife, Maudie Adney of Porum, OK, Bill Adney of Muskogee, OK, Lou and husband, Dave Villers of Keefeton, OK, Hairl Adney and wife, Audrey of Oktaha, OK, Kathy and Paul Greb of Keefeton, OK, Terry and Teresa Adney of Porum, OK; one sister, Ella Massey of Russellville, AR; fifteen grandchildren, Jason, Mac, Mary, Brandy, Chris and Heather, Sandra and Jeremy, Lisa, Jennifer and Ryan, Jessica and Stanley, Amanda and Cord, Coby and Stephanie, Daniel, Tiffany, Tyler and Tracie and eleven great-grandchildren. Numerous other family and many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Keefeton Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Barks officiating. Pallbearers are Jason Adney, Mack Adney, Chris Adney, Daniel Adney, Coby Wood, Eddie Moore and Tyler Adney. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Warner under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
