Doris, 93, of Lead, South Dakota, formerly of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, at the Spearfish Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of Albert Edward & Ida Margaret (Rasmussen) Olsen.
Doris was married to her husband Sidney Gallagher on December 24, 1938 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2007. She was member of the Danish Sisterhood Society, and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed many years of travel throughout the United States with her husband.
Doris spent the last 8 years of her life living with her daughter and son in law Beverly & Robert Swift of Spearfish, South Dakota who survive her; 4 granddaughters; 6 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons. She is also survived by her sister Marlene Boomer of Lakeview along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Settlement Lutheran Church with Vicar Rosalina Rivera officiating.
