FUNERAL SERVICES HONOR LT. COLONEL

Funeral services were Held for Randall Holley Felter, retired Lt. Col. in the United States Army. Mr. Felter died May 1, 1976 in the Veterans Hospital, Salt Lake City, of heart failure. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Vernal Mortuary. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary, with full military honors by the American Legion.

Mr. Felter was born February 20, 1915 in Corinne, Utah to Lee Felter and Rachel Amanda Garitson Felter. He was married February 12, 1938 to Virginia Smith in Preston, Idaho.

Mr. Felter was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Utah State University. He graduated from the U. S. Army Artillery School and Command and General Staff School. He entered the U. S. Army in 1940 and served in the South Pacific, U. S. Occupational Forces in Japan, Military Advisor to Turkish Army and Staff and Faculty Guided Missile School and as Army advisor to the Illinois National Guard. He retired in 1960. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation from 1962-1973.

Survivors include his widow and one son, Allen Lee, both of Vernal, one daughter Marilyn (Mar. Arvol Dale) Smith of Hooper, Utah; three brothers, Marion, Roosevelt; Paul, Myton; and Don Earl, Pasco, Washington and seven grandchildren.
