Cal Cowgill has been released from the state insane hospital having recovered his reason.

Calvin Cowgill and Mamie Harmon have laughed at locksmiths and opposing relatives, and have united their destinies. The marriage occurred at Warsaw on Tuesday. (Jan. 31, 1879; Fort Wayne Daily Gazette)

Calvin Cowgill was granted a divorce from his wife in Sept. 1891 on the grounds of adultery.

Calvin married Anna R. Briggs in Oct. 1891. She had a five year old son (apparently out of wedlock), named Chester Briggs. His surname is sometimes seen as Cowgill. Calvin and Anna had a daughter named Lavon.
