James M. Dillard, a well-known farmer living near Avoca, died at his home Sunday. He was 75 years of age, being born in Alabama on March 29, 1853. Surviving: his wife and 12 sons and daughters.

Funeral was held at Avoca Monday, with interment at Spring Creek cemetery. W.N. Kinney of Stamford had charge of the burial.
