Former Milford Woman Passes at Home of Her Brother in Minnesota
Milford, Dec. 23 – Word has been received here of the death Friday at Winnebago, minn, of Mrs. Isabelle Scott Aney, formerly of Milford. Mrs. Aney went to Minnesota in June to visit her brother, Andrew B. Scott, and about two weeks ago fell, breaking her hip. Mrs. Aney was born in Scotland, May 22, 1854, and came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scott when she was five years old. She resided in the town of Middlefield until her marriage to George W. Aney in 1874. She is survived by five children, Henry Aney, Milford; John Aney, Maryland; Milton Aney, Springfield Center; Mrs. Floyd Kilts, Cooperstown, and Mrs. Fred Norton, Schenevus. The body was brought to the home of Mrs. Floyd Kilts where the funeral was held Wednesday. Burial was in Milford cemetery.

Mrs. Isabelle Aney
Mrs. Isabelle Aney, widow of the late George Aney, passed away at the home of her brother, A.B> Scott, at Winnebago, Minn., where she was visiting, December 17th, as the result of an accident in which she sustained a broken hip.
Mrs. Aney was born in Scotland May 22, 1854, and came to this country when she was five years old. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her sons and for the past few years with her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Kilts, in Cooperstown. She was a woman held in the highest respect by a large circle of friends.
Five children survive: Henry Aney of Hartwick Seminary, Mrs. Floyd Kilts of Cooperstown, John Aney of Maryland, Mrs. Fred Norton of Schenevus, Milton Aney of Springfield Center: twelve grand children and one great-grand-child; three brothers, the one mentioned above, and Thomas and John W. Scott, to all of whom much sympathy is expressed in their bereavement.
The funeral services were held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Kilts No. 64 Grove street, Cooperstown Wednesday, December 22nd, at 1 o'clock, the Rev. Edward C. Petrie, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial at Milford.
