Ida Mae Gadberry,daughter of John and Mary Cohorn Gariott,
was born March 12,1877 in Mercer County,Missouri and departed this life April 3,1966 at the age of 89 years and 21 days.She had been a patient at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital for some time.She grew to womanhood in the community of her birth and on March 3,1898,she was united in marriage with Albert Jackson Gadberry.Seven children were born to this union.She was preceded in death by her husband,who passed away in October of 1956.Also preceding her in death were her parents;2 sons,Beecher and Cliff;2 grandchildren,5 brothers and 4 sisters.Surviving her passing are 2 sons;Walter Gadberry of Santa Fe Springs,California and Jesse Gadberry of Powersville,
Missouri;3 daughters,Mrs.Mabel Gatrel,Ft.Myers,Florida,Mrs.Greta Brown of Benton City,Washington and Mrs. Maxine Scott of Zillah,Washington.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren,24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild;one sister,Mrs.Rhoda Snapp of Trenton,Missouri;2 brothers,Bill Gariott of Neodesha,Kansas and Ted Gariott of Los Angeles,California;
plus many other relatives and a host of friends.The early
part of her married life was spent in Trenton,Missouri where her husband was employed on the railroad.The last 60 years of her life was spent in and around Powersville,Missouri.At an early age she placed her membership in the Powersville Christian Church and has been a faithful member all her life.Services were held in the Husted Funeral Home in Unionville,Tuesday,April 5,2:00
p.m. with Reverand Joseph R. Cooper officiating.Interment was in the Powersville Cemetery.
