This is my adopted grandpa. His birth name is Earl Layton Johnston. His brother Denver was married to Vivian Lawson. Denver made Layton promise him that if anything happened to him in the war that he would marry her and take care of her and that is exactly what he did.
They had another brother, Claude, who is my moms biological father. Claude was married to Priscilla Moore. They had my mom and a boy, David. Layton and Vivian adopted my mom.
