Appointed 1st Lt in the Medical Section of the Officer's Reserve Corps of U.S. Army August 8, 1917. Served as President of the El Paso County Medical Society 1928. Served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Independent School District of El Paso, 1933 - 1944. Volunteered his services to the Selective Service System as an examining physician October 14, 1940 to March 31, 1947. 50 year plus member of the Shriners.
