David Little, 71, of Whiteville died Friday, July 8, 2005, in Columbus County Hospital.
Born in Brunswick County on May 19, 1934, he was a son of Mrs. Essie Edwards Little of Nakina and the late Semore S. Little. Mr. Little owned and operated David's Import Car Repair and Sales until his retirement in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Dixon Little of the home; two sons, David Little and wife Debbie of Calabash and Jerry Little and wife Renee of Whiteville; three daughters, Tammy Varnam and husband Augusta of Supply, Connie Boyd of Whiteville and Ann Benton and husband William of Shallotte; two brothers, Tex Little of Washington and Danny Little of Roland, S. C.; a sister, Nelda Stocks of Nakina; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday in the chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service and Crematory, Supply Chapel, with the Rev. Chip Hannah and the Rev. David Lee Little II officiating. Interment followed in the Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jan Hewitt, Daniel Little, Chris Dixon, Shawn Smith, D. L. Little, Willie Varnum and Dale Herron.
