Alvin L. Roth of Route 2, New Hamburg, passed away at the K-W Hospital, Sunday, Jan. 2, born in New Hamburg, Nov. 3, 1917, 54 years ago. He was an employee of the Ontario Department of Highways and a member of the New Hamburg Conservative Mennonite Church. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin S. Roth. Surviving are his wife, Olivia Roth; four sons, Wayne, Route 1, Brucefield; Robert, Roger, Peter and two daughters, Shirley and Deloris, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Milton (Mabel) Litwiller, Tavistock. Predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Resting at the Bruce .J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, until noon on Wednesday. Memorial services will be held at the New Hamburg Conservative Mennonite Church at 3 p.m. The Rev. Elmer Grove and Earl Koch will officiate. Temporary entombment at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
