MRS. FRANK MARKLEY
Mrs. Ellen Jane Markley, 76, wife of Frank Markley, died at noon Friday at the residence, 276 W. Fairview St., Bethlehem. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Born in Bethlehem, Nov. 5, 1870, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Bickert Kichline. Her first husband, Pierce Meckes, preceded her in death.
Survivors are the husband, two sons, Elmer Meckes, Coplay, and Raymond Meckes, Bethlehem; five daughters, Mrs. Robert Diefenderfer, Mrs. Harrison Yochum, Mrs. Harold Rinker, Mrs. Paul Smith and Mrs. Arthur Akroyd, all of Bethlehem. A brother, George Kichline, Bethlehem, and 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also remain.
Funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Steyers home, 500 Linden St., and at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church, Bethlehem. Rev. Chester L. Brachman and Rev. Raymond Abbott, Nescopeck, a grandson, will officiate. Burial in Fairview cemetery.
