Martin R. Barr, 69, of Route 7, Owensboro died Thursday at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. He was born in Daviess County and was a retired groceryman and member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Stanley. Survivors include his wife, Alma H. Barr; three brothers, George R. Barr Jr., of Owensboro, Charles H. Barr of Bradenton, Fla. and Dennis A. Barr of Massachusetts and five sisters, Jennie Rhodes of Livia, Mrs. Raymond Higdon, Mrs. Paul Drury, and Mrs. Frank Payne, all of Owensboro, and Mrs. Urey Thompson of Philpot. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial in Church cemetery. Visitation after 2 p.m. today at Haley McGinnis and Owensboro Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today.
