Born in Independence County, Arkansas, Delia was the daughter of Milt Dunavin & Julia Flowers Dunavin. She had many siblings who loved her dearly, however, were not able to keep in contact after she married and moved away from the area. The Dunavin family has never forgotten about her to this day.
Delia married her 1st husband in 1916 in Arkansas, and was then known as: Mrs Delia Crownover, and was the mother of Ruby, Conerd, Fred, Thelma, Earl, and Helen. She lived several years in Kansas City.
In 1942, She married John W. Messmer in Missouri and I am told he was very good to her. They lived in Amoret, Missouri when first John passed away, and then Delia about 2-3 years later.
