Elizabeth was born to Isaac Williams Sr. and Anne Davies Williams in Rhyl, Wales. She was one of ten children in the family of seven girls and three boys. After marrying Joseph Henry Ewig on Sep 12, 1912, they lived out their lives on Kosuth Avenue in Utica, NY. After her husband died, she moved her invalid sister, Edith Jane Williams Hallagan in with her and they lived together until about one year before each of them died.
