Thea Anderson, 94, of Bagley, died Monday, May 8, 1995, at the Greensview Health Care Center in Bagley.
Thea was born February 7, 1901, on the home place in Popple Township, rural Bagley, the daughter of Ole and Marie Ysen. She attended District #1 Country School in Popple Township until the third grade when she attended the Halvorson School and then back to District #1 school until the eighth grade. She was baptized and confirmed at Gran Lutheran Church, rural Bagley.
She worked in a cook car during thrashing time where she met Victor Anderson. They lived in Clearwater County all their lives. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church, an active member of the Ladies Missionary Circle at Calvary. She was very active in the Parkview Apartment Club. She loved to crochet and embroider and especially loved to read.
Survivors include three daughters, Avis (Art) Sletten of Bemidji, Margaret (Amos) Thompson of Grygla, Minnesota, and Violet (Archie) Baumann of Crosby, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren,15 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara (Asle) Halverson and Minnie (Henry) Halverson; eight brothers, Severt, Bennie, Carl, Ludvig, Ole, Adolph, Harold and Selmer Ysen; and a grandson, John Thompson.
Funeral services are Saturday, May 13, 1995, at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Bagley, with the Rev. Rick Moore officiating. Visitation is 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley and one hour before the services at the Church. Interment will be at the Bagley City Cemetery in Bagley under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home, Bagley.
