BALLARD--Funeral services were held March 19, 1976 for Ernest Edward Betts in the Ballard Ward Chapel, under the direction of Karl C. Betts, counselor in the Ballard Ward Bishopric. Family prayer at the mortuary was given by A. L. (Dick) Scholes.

Prelude and postlude music was provided by Renee Womack. Opening prayer was given by Alleen Betts. A musical selection "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" was sung by Lois and Carol Betts, accompanied by Jennis Betts. The speaker was T. Golden Collins. A piano and organ duet, "Abide With Me" was given by Karla Heaton and and Paul Betts. Ernest Edward Betts, Jr. spoke. Grandchildren accompanied and sang "Oh My Father". The closing prayer was given by Grant Betts.

Dedication of the grave by W. L. Collins was given in the Roosevelt City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Karl, Grant, and Ernest E. Betts, Jr., Elvin Kettle, Fred Cook and Owen Collins. Honorary pallbearers were Ballard Ward High Priests.

Relatives and friends from out-of-town who came for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Collins, Mary Mackay, Owen Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Drury, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Drury, Leonard Betts, Clella Petterson and Mr. and Mrs. Don Kettle and family, all of Salt Lake City; Glenna Betts Murray, Lucile Haws, Bill Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Williams, Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Scholes, St. George; Lynn Betts, Rexburg, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dean and son of Wellington, Utah.
