Cooter, Mo. March 16--Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Annie Petty Wagster at the Baptist church in Cooter at 2:30 with the Rev. Seth Compere in charge. He was assisted by Rev. L.F. Voelker. Interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Wagster, who was 84 years of age, died of a stroke of paralysis while visiting in the home of her son, Luther Wagster, at Newbern, Tenn., Friday night. She was born in Tennessee, but had lived in Cooter for a number of years. She was one of the pioneer settlers of this community, and was a member of the Baptist church.
She was married to Dallas Wagster in 1873, and after his death in 1901 she was married to A.P. Powell of Ro-Ellen, Tenn.
Surviving are nine children, S.L., Q.C. and Charlie Wagster of Cooter; Luther Wagster, Newbern, Tenn.; Mrs. Jack Neil, Cooter; Mrs. Grace Denton, Chaffee, Mo.; Linnie Akins of Dyer, Tenn.; and Mrs. Madge Notgrass and Maggie Pritchard of RoEllen, Tenn.; also 46 grand children, 62 great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers at the funeral were J.M. McClure, W.O. Kearney, T.N. Brigance, Charlie Harston, and Tom White.
Active pallbearers were the following grandsons: Floyd, Roy D. and Charles Wagster, Claude Notgrass, Jr., Ellis Hunt and Joe Azbill.
