PINE ISLAND - Mrs. Madonna M. Carsten, 52, of Gladstone, Mo., a Pine Island native, died Sunday at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
The former Madonna M. Archer was born May 19, 1930, in Pine Island, and married Donald Carsten. They moved to Gladstone 26 years ago.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jennifer Carsten at home, Victoria Carsten of New York City, and Mrs. Bonita Laurita of London; two brothers, George E. Archer and William M. Archer, both of Rochester, and three sisters, Mrs. Jean Fenske of Rochester, Mrs. Helen Sage of Hayfield and Mrs. Marlys Woods of Minneapolis.
The funeral was today at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Gladstone, with burial in White Chapel Memorial Garden Cemetery there.
Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone is in charge of arrangements.
